Join professional illustrator Lynne Goh for a 2-hour Manga Drawing Introductory Workshop, where you will learn how to apply drawing fundamentals and techniques of manga art to either recreate a portrait of your favorite manga character or design your own unique manga character by the end of the workshop!
In this hands-on session, here’s what you can expect:
- Come prepared with one or two reference portraits (from head to shoulders) of your favourite character or a character idea you’d love to draw.
- Receive one-on-one guidance and feedback throughout the drawing exercises from a professionally trained instructor.
- All learning and drawing materials are provided (e.g., pencils, erasers, drawing paper).
- Focus on the fundamentals of drawing the character’s portrait (from head to shoulders), mastering concepts like:
- Facial structures and proportions
- Head perspectives
- Drawing hair
- Character expressions
- Basic shading techniques
- Refine and take home your own improved character portrait!
This workshop is designed to be warm, supportive, and beginner-friendly, with only 8 students per session to ensure plenty of personal guidance. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, it's a welcoming space for all ages to get creative.

Lynne Goh is our talented in-house Manga Drawing Instructor. A senior illustrator and freelance portrait artist, Lynne has been creating commercial illustrations for brands, design agencies, and government organizations since 2012. She specializes in manga and anime-inspired artwork, particularly chibi and manga-style portraits.
Lynne has also been sharing her passion and expertise through various art workshops, helping students of all ages explore and develop their manga drawing skills. With a focus on building creative talent and mastering drawing fundamentals, she provides a fun, supportive environment for students to grow their skills.
